About this part
**Armrest for 2011 Kia Picanto / Morning**
I designed and 3D printed an armrest for comfort and storage to my car (a 2011 Kia Picanto / Kia Morning). It fits well between the seats and mounts perfectly in the cup holder, without modifications to the car. The armrest has a hinged top lid for easy access to the storage compartment, with 5mm neodimium magnets to keep the lid closed, avoiding "plastic bump noises". I printed in PLA on my Creality K1C, but PETG or ASA is recommended for higher heat resistance in vehicles.
**Print configs (for PLA):**
- Printer: Creality K1C
- Slicer: CrealityPrint
- Profile: 0.2mm Standard @Creality K1C 0.4 nozzle (Generic PLA)
- Infill: 15% in 45º square grids
- Temperature: 230ºC
- Layer height: 0.2mm
- Wall loops: 2
- Supports are only needed for the Box (The Lid and the Cup don't require any support):
- Type: Tree Auto ("Normal" would exceed the maximum print size)
- On build plate only: true
- Small overhang area: 20 mm (no need for support on hinge holes)
**Other materials needed**
- 10 M3x25mm screws (+10 nuts and 20 washers)
- 8 to join the cup to the box
- 2 for the lid hinge
- 2 cilindrical neodimium magnets (h = 3mm, Φ = 5mm)
