Combined Keyfob And Key – 1982 Toyota Camry
3D-printed combined keyfob and key for the 1982 Toyota Camry, made to order as an affordable alternative to a discontinued or expensive original part.
About this part
I've been trying to eliminate bulk in my pockets for a while and figured, since the rubber head ripped off of my Camry key, this might be a good time to see if I can consolidate it with the accompanying fob into one functional and slim piece. I started with loidolt's fob fix to save a little time (Thanks!) and went ahead and beveled the edges for a more comfortable feel (will update pictures once I print beveled version).
All I had on hand was a 3.5mm screw and nut which didn't fit the original recesses so, I redesigned the closure to suit. I've included a version for the 3.5mm screw I used, along with the original recessed M3 closure as it is cleaner.
I printed using PLA at .2mm resolution on a Creality Ender3 with 40% infill (although, you could probably get away with less infill.)
Happy Printing!
