These inserts have a small lip to them that will capture drips and crumbs.  There is a small tab designed in to allow you to grab it with some needle nose.  It is small tab that you will need to slow the print down if you want it to come out well.  In the end it is probably not critical and if it does not print well you can just cut it off.
