3D-printed din gauge plate w switches for the 1989 Mazda Mx-5 Miata, made to order as an affordable alternative to a discontinued or expensive original part.

About this part

I designed this gauge pod to replace a blank DIN plate I had in my Miata. It was modeled in Fusion 360. It holds 2 52 mm gauges, and 2 toggle switches that were already wired into my car but just installed into jagged cutouts on my old blank DIN plate before.

Dimensions are 182mm x 60mm x 10mm with a 3mm shell thickness.

Gauge holes are nominally 52mm diameter

Cutout for square switch (methanol) is 30mm x 12mm
Hole for Launch control switch is 12.5mm diameter

The 2 holes above and below the bridge of material between the 2 52mm gauge cutouts are designed to fit M4 socket head cap screw hardware, and the interface for making the plate stay installed in your car is meant to attach to these bolts. You'll have to create your own mounting solution. Their center positions are 67mm from the left edge and 8mm from the top or bottom respectively.

Blank plates are snap fit. Worked for me printed in ABS. (0.2mm layer height, 20% honeycomb infill, no supports, no rafts)

This was meant to be a perfect solution for me, so I'd be surprised if it was exactly what you are looking for (2 gauge and 2 mis-matched toggle switch designs, but hey, I was asked to share the STL so I figured I'd start my own Thingiverse account and begin giving back to this wonderful open source inspired community.

The recessed text on the face is barely legible but it served as a lettering guide for me to use white paint.
