3D-printed replacement door block made for the 1990-2005 Mazda Miata NA/NB: a simple way to replace a cracked, lost or hard-to-find original part.
About this part
A tweak on the original to make the thickness under the bolts roughly 2x what was there. I also removed the radius on the top edge. The fit is tighter but it works. I machined this from HDPE stock on a Nomed 883. The resulting parts seem to work well. The original design worked well too. (now I have one of each on the car). The door closes with a good meaty thunk. I used the 10 mm bolts that were holding the original car part in place to mount these. first just barely tighten them, then close the door a few times before cranking them down.
