Front Suspension Strut Cover – 2011-2026 Nissan Leaf
Replace a broken or missing front suspension strut cover on your 2011-2026 Nissan Leaf with this 3D-printed part, produced to order by PartsRemade.
About this part
NOTE: My updated version of this design is over at https://www.myminifactory.com/users/PaulKennett - where I've got all my Leaf related stuff).
The front suspension struts on a Gen 1 Nissan Leaf can fill up with water and rust. Use this cover to keep the rain out. You still need to apply rust prevention on the nut before use this cover though - don't rely on the cover only.
Print two, one for each side. (Although the water problem is mainly due to the wiper hole on the drivers side only, but you might as well do both.)
You'll see it has a flat top with a 5 degree slope. That makes it super easy to print whilst still shedding water. No need to use supports (ie., no wasted plastic).
I don't think it matter which way round you put it on.
I used PLA because it's the least environmentally bad. I don't know how long it will endure in this situation. (Long enough I suspect.)
This thing was made with Tinkercad. Edit it online https://www.tinkercad.com/things/elpR395jngS
