3D-printed fuse box cover latch for the 1976-1995 Bmw Various E24/E28, made to order as an affordable alternative to a discontinued or expensive original part.
About this part
BMW goofed when they made a living hinge out of brittle Acrylic on the fuse box covers of the E24, E28, etc. The latch has been broken / missing on all of the half-dozen or so E28s I've owned, and rather than spend $$$ for a new one that's just going to eventually break, I devised a simple hinged latch.
After sanding away the remnants of the broken tab on my 535is' fuse box lid, I installed the two pieces (printed from ABS on my Bambu Carbon X1) as pictured using a small spring and hardware I had on hand.
