These fit through the little hole on the end of the vacuum actuator arm.  I could have used a screw but I wanted a more elegant solution similar to the original fastener.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eI made two types.  One with the expanding mushroom head.  The other with a groove and C-clip.  Both work well on my Main air flap behind my glove box on my 1985 Mercedes 300D.  I had to drill out the existing plastic rivet that had broken apart.  I used a 13\/64\" drill bit on the plastic arm to make a hole.
