3D-printed racebox mini / mini s mount for the 2016-2026 Mazda Mx-5 Miata ND, made to order as an affordable alternative to a discontinued or expensive original part.

About this part

NOTE: my ND has a Blackbird Fabworx rollbar, it's possible this changed the angle the windblocker sits at from an OEM setup.
Mine is tilted 16 degrees forward so the model reflects that to keep the RaceBox level.

This is only the front mount, you will need the back mount part from the <a href="https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7256915">parent project here</a>!

This design allows you to make use of the 1/4"-20 UNC thread on the Racebox Mini and Mini S so the unit can be mounted in the most central and out of the way position without needing to mess up your dash with adhesive mounts.

Meant to be used with a right angle USB-C for power.
Optional but i recommend using hook and loop strip for added rigidity.

The hole for the screw is slightly smaller than the threads so will need to thread through the plastic. This helps keep the screw captive when the Racebox is not mounted.
I used <a href="https://www.amazon.com/CAMVATE-Button-Nickel-Construction-Pieces/dp/B08VGB2WGM">these</a> for the mounting screw. Any screw 12-16 mm will do, but the unthreaded part should be 6mm or more so it can spin freely once threaded through.
