About this part
After being annoyed that the trunk light stays on when the tailgate is open on my TS, I designed this small part. It allows you to close the tailgate latch, tricking the car into thinking the tailgate is closed.
To avoid damage if you forget the part is in there and close the tailgate, the whole thing is made from TPU and has a cushioning element on the underside. To finish it, you only need a tube or round rod with 6mm diameter — in my case a brass tube.
To eject the tool, simply press the tailgate release!
