3D-printed replacement tweeter adapter plate made for the 2015-2021 Subaru Wrx (Base): a simple way to replace a cracked, lost or hard-to-find original part.

About this part

This is a tweeter adapter plate i made that is designed to replace the awful factory tweeters that come in the 2015+ subaru wrx with the base sound system. It is sized to use dayton audio ND28F-6 tweeters which can be picked up from parts express. All you need to do to install these tweeters is just take off the plug assembly from the bottom of the stock tweeters and solder the wires on to the new tweeters. The white wire will be your positive and black your negative terminal. Made the part much thicker than it really needs to be to ensure there wont be much sagging or deformation due to heat. If you use a plastic other than pla that can handle heat, these should be able to made much thinner. With the current plate thickness, you will need to trim away some of the webbing that is on the back side of the factory speaker grills to make sure the tweeter has clearance.
