For some types of brake discs you need to remove the locator bolt for adding spacers, and that was the case for me.
The locator bolt is not important for braking, but it is annoying to not have it located when shifting tires since the disc can rotate in the process. This is my fix for the moment.
The more heat resistant the fillament the better, as the brake discs can get quite hot.
Simply unbolt the old locating bolt, it was an M10 if i remember correctly.
Screw in the plastic bolt by hand until it bottoms out, it is not going to hold anything in place so fingertight is good enough.
Take a knife and place it like in the picture, then take a hammer and hammer to brake off the head and become flush with the brake rotor.
Now the mod is finished, this will help locate the brake disc while changing tires.
It would be best to change the discs to more modern ones with a flush bolt but that is a more involved process.
The car i did this on is a Volvo S60 from 2005 with the 2.4i engine, but this is necessary on different model years and other cars such as the Volvo V70 as well.
