Description originale du designer (en anglais) :
Designed to get KTuner off the windshield and down lower on the dash. Uses the standard ball size of the windshield mount so that the socket and nut can be reused from it.
Could also be used for a cellphone or GPS mount.
Attaches to dashboard using 2 short pan head sheetmetal screws. Predrill underneath the plastic surround. Caution: Drill though only one wall. Surround plastic is soft, so do not overtighten the screws.
Printing:
Printed "prototype" parts in PLA on TEVO Flash. Since PLA will not withstand the high temperatures of an auto interior in the summer, the final part was printed in nylon on a MakerBot Method printer.
Set top surface (that attaches to underside of vent surround) as the surface on the build plate.
Set support angle to 60° so that the bottom lip prints without support.
