- Print a batch. PETG is a good choice for clips because it bends a little before it breaks. Use ASA near the headlights or engine.
FAQ
Will printed clips hold as well as the originals?
For trim and panels they do the job well when printed in PETG with enough walls. Print a few extra: clips are cheap to make and some always get lost.
Which print settings work for small clips?
A 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.12–0.16 mm layers and 100% infill give the strongest result on parts this small.
Some files mention E90 or X5. Do they fit the E46?
BMW shared some clips across models. The title lists every model the designer named. Compare with your broken clip first.
