About this part

One of the covers on my BMW Z3 hard top broke. The plastic pieces for these tops are becoming impossible to find and time will eventually destroy them all, so I decided to model my own replacement. This will replace the cover 1:1, however it is not an exact copy. I printed it two ways to see which looked better and found that flat with internal supports for the tabs where the screws go through them looked the best as it had cleaner radiuses and the build plate finish on the top of the part (this is the default orientation of the part.)

I printed mine on a Creality K2 Pro
